Idaho Parents for Educational Choice (IPEC) – “Bus-to-Boise” Adventure

THANKS! – First, we want to thank EdChoice for funding the Bus-to-Boise trip. EdChoice is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, nonpartisan organization started by Nobel laureate Milton and economist Rose Friedman in 1996 that expands education opportunities for families throughout the U.S. edchoice.org/
OVERVIEW – In solidarity, we parents are planning a bus trip to Boise to meet with other parents throughout the State of Idaho to stand in a united union on the steps of the Capitol and show the Legislature and the Executive Branch that the following actions must be taken in order to help our children escape what has become government-dominated education, and that one-size education does NOT fit all:
- Show support for the Bill, or Bills, that best suit the students’ needs, by directing education funding to the parents; and
- Stand against any Bill that supports the teaching, or curriculum thereof, of controversial and unacceptable programs, such as critical race theory (CRT), the 1619 Project, and/or social justice programs, to name a few. We ask that these Bills be recurrently, and summarily, voted down.
Times – We plan to leave Idaho Falls promptly at 6:30 a.m. and return at 8 p.m. that night. Students are welcome to accompany their parents on the bus ride.
Miscellaneous – Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are “gratis”, with EdChoice’s warm, and best, wishes. All the comfortable buses for the trip have: TVs; DVDs’, WIFI, if requested; and bathrooms.
