Special Event – Candidates for Idaho Falls City Council Seats 4, 6, and 2 will discuss the issues and answer questions

In order to resolve any confusion due to two candidate forums occurring on the same day (October 22nd), and to facilitate another opportunity for candidates to address the public directly, we are having a special ‘redo’ forum on October 30th for all the candidates we had hoped to see on October 22nd.  All candidates previously invited to the October 22nd forum are invited to the October 30th forum.  This forum is also being co-hosted and promoted by KID Newsradio.  Local News 8 has agreed to promote the event although they are not co-hosting the event.

The candidates running for Idaho Falls City Council seat 4, seat 6, and seat 2 will discuss the issues and answer questions from those in audience.  There are two (2) candidates running for seat 4, the incumbent, Jim Francis, who has served for eight years, and Jared Dominick.  For Seat 6 there are also two candidates running, Jim Freeman, the incumbent, and James T Skinner.  Brandon Lee and Stephanie Taylor-Thompson are 2 of 7 candidates running for seat 2.

As with the mayoral race, what happens with the city of Idaho Falls affects all of eastern Idaho. It is very important to learn about candidates for all elected positions because what they do will affect you and your family. What is their vision for Idaho Falls and East Idaho? What is their background. Why are they running – are they looking out for you or are they running for their own self-interest? Is what they say reflective of their past behavior?

So come ask the hard questions and learn about the candidates. Your family’s lives will be affected by who is elected.
